in the career of well known NOLA engineer/producer/mixer Mike
Mayeux. Working for many years in the live mixing and recording.
head engineer at HOB NOLA from 1995-2000 where he was voted
best Live sound Engineer in 1997 1998 and 1999 by offbeat magazine.
He
recorded Rolling Stone Magazines Best Unsigned band
of 1999 the Continental Drifters on thier major label Debut
for Razor and Tie.
Started Recording HOB live stuff including Norah Jones live
at the HOB and various other live Broadcast for HOB weekly
special in 2000.
Besides producing and engineering he mixed records for some
of new orleans biggest bands. The Radiators, Cowboy Mouth Theresa
Anderson Anders Osbourne Beatinpath and many many more.
After Hurricane Katrina claimed his home, and Studio Ground
Floor in New Orleans, Mayeux moved to Nashville. He built
a live recording and mixing room that is second to none in
getting a great sound and delivering world class production
and service. 20 years in the business and this year alone recording
some of the biggest festivals in the country including Voodoo
Fest and Jazz Festival in New Orleans.
